How was United Tres Dias (UTD) established?
In 2000, the “Thanksgiving Korean Church” in Southern California invited the Chinese “First Evangelical Church of San Gabriel Valley” and “United Christian Church” to participate in Tres Dias weekends. In recent years, many Chinese Christians who have participated the retreats received a spiritual renewal. In 2002, Pastor Fredrick Chen, the senior pastor of the United Christian Church, was invited to participate in the 26th Thanksgiving TD. He was moved by the Holy Spirit and decided to host the Chinese Tres Dias retreats. Under the extraordinary grace of God, the first Chinese TD weekend was held on April 25, 2004, named as United Tres Dias (UTD), and the Chinese name was set as – United TD Retreat. The churches that have participated so far include China, Taiwan, North, Central and South America, Europe, West Africa, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, South Korea, and other countries. In the spirit of serving all Chinese churches, there are more than 2,000 brothers and sisters had attended this retreat.
